For the Creative engineering project our objective was to find a world problem and try to come up with a way to solve it. Our group decided to choose the topic of cancer. Cancer is something that is not curable but after researching we found out a way to help the matter. After researching, it became evident you lose lots of nutrients and vitamins so my group and I made up a drink called “Care” in order to help and regain some of the nutrients and vitamins lost.
Concepts:
Care- An acronym that stands for Comfort, Aid, Relief, and Energize
Cancer- The uncontrollable growth of cells in the body and one of the most common diseases in the world
Chemotherapy- The treatment of disease by means of chemicals that have specific toxic effort upon the disease-producing microorganisms or that selectively destroy cancerous tissue
Radio Therapy- Treatment using X-ray or similar forms if radiation
Recovery- Returning to a normal state of health
Reflection:
This was the best done and my personal favorite project all year. I thought my group and I put together one of the better projects in the class. Also I thought this project went so well because everyone in my group collaborated very well and all of us are friends outside of STEM. I thought I put a lot of work into this project but I still need to improve on staying more on task and also being off of my phone. I thought overall I put the most effort in this project than any of the others, which was a goal of mine. I also helped out a lot with the slideshow, helping research and find cool pictures for each slide. This project was a total success! If I could do it again with the same group members but different topic I totally would!
