For this project, we had to answer the following question: what is the relationship between gait frequency and subject height? Gait is the methodical study of human motion. It is a way for engineers to test and analyze the way people walk. We taped a phone, with the downloaded app, to our back to create a central axis and performed three trials per person walking. During the trials, we recorded the data obtained from the app, the time it took to walk the set distance, the amount of steps, and the persons foot size, height, and stride length. We then graphed and analyzed this data, allowing us to find the gait frequencies of each person. The average gait frequencies were graphed and a trend line was run.

CONTENT:
Gait: a person's manner of walking
Leg Length: a measurement from the bottom on heel to top of hip bone
Regressions: a measure of the relation between the mean value of one variable and corresponding values of other variables
Frequency: number of occurrences of a repeating event per unit of time
Wavelength: the distance between successive crests of a wave
Trough: the lowest point the medium rises
Crest: the highest point the medium rises
Linear Line: a line with a constant slope
Accelerometer: an instrument for measuring acceleration, typically that of an automobile, ship, aircraft, or spacecraft
Dynamicity: In terms of gait analysis, the quantification of variations in kinematic or kinetic parameters within a step
Metric: A quantitative indicator of a characteristic or attribute
Model: A description of observed or predicted behavior of some system, simplified by ignoring certain details. Models allow complex systems to be understood and their behavior predicted
Symmetry: In terms of gait analysis, the quantification of differences between left-foot and right-foot steps
Variability: In terms of gait analysis, the quantification of fluctuations from one stride to the next
Functions: a relationship or expression involving one or more variables

This project was not my favorite. It also overlapped with other projects we were doing which made it harder for our group to work on it together and communicate. It was a very long and interesting project. I was working on the plane which made it hard to communicate with my group members because we were in different rooms. While I was in class with my group I thought I did a good job staying on task and helping where ever it was needed. I also recorded most of the information and helped organize all our results. Next time we have two projects at once I need to work on communicating with my group and contributing more. This project was very hard for me to contribute as much as I should have because I was working on the other project for the majority of the time. I thought my group worked really well together and made the most out of this project.
